Sanjay Bakshi

Sanjay is the CEO of Tactica. Considered as an authority on the works of Benjamin Graham (the father of security analysis and value investing), Sanjay is following his mentor’s footsteps by combining his professional interests with his academic ones.

An investment professional of high repute, Sanjay is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He obtained his CA training from Price Waterhouse and was ranked 33rd in India for the intermediate examination. He also holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics. He was selected as one of ten LSE school scholars for his course.

Since 1995, he has been managing money for family offices in India. In 2000, Sanjay initiated one of India’s most widely acclaimed hostile takeover transactions.

Apart from his professional pursuits, Sanjay also teaches a popular course titled “Behavioural Finance and Business Valuation”, at Management Development Institute - Gurgaon, one of the top 5 business schools in India, where he is a visiting professor. Sanjay’s students think very highly of him and, for 2005-06 they selected him as the best professor at MDI. Testimonials from students can be seen from here.

Sanjay has authored more than 150 articles published by Economic Times, Intelligent Investor, and The Analyst. Some of these can be viewed from here and here. Jagpreet S. Bhatia

As an investment manager at Tactica, Jagpreet handles straight equity investment opportunities which involves close interaction with the operating managers of potential investee companies. He also advises corporate management on various means of unlocking share holder value.

Prior to joining Tactica, he worked with Infosys, HCL and iGATE Solutions - in multi-functional environments related to finance, marketing and systems. Jagpreet obtained his B.Tech from the Institute of Technology, BHU and an MBA from M.D.I.Gurgaon with specialization in finance and marketing.

Ankur Jain

As an investment manager at Tactica, Ankur’s niche lies in special situations, arbitrage, litigated matters, interpretation of government policy changes and their impact on corporate valuation.

Prior to joining Tactica,he has worked at Arvind Mafatlal Group in their Textile Division.and also worked as a credit analyst for corporate clients at UTI Bank.He has worked as an intern with Ernst & Young in its business advisory practice and has hands-on experience in several business-restructuring cases.Ankur received a B.Tech from National Institute of Technology (Jalandhar) and a M.B.A. (M.D.I. Gurgaon) with specialization in finance and marketing.

Saroni Ray

Saroni assists Sanjay in Tactica’s marketing functions. She also looks after investor relations.

Prior to joining Tactica she worked with A.B & Associates in their audit department.She Obtained her B.com (Hons) from Calcutta University, and an M.B.A from M.D.I.Gurgaon with specialization in finance and marketing.

Sushmita Prasad

Sushmita handles banking and depository relationships at Tactica. She has an eleven-year experience of dealing in securities markets.

Prior to joining Tactica she played a key role in the I.P.O.of an auto ancillary company. She holds a B.Com and a Masters degree in Finance and Control from the University of Delhi.

Nitin Arjun

Nitin handles Tactica’s compliance and risk management functions.

Prior to joining Tactica Nitin worked with BNP Paribas. He is an economics graduate from the University of Delhi, and holds an M.B.A. from The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University U.S.A., majoring in investments and finance.
